was handed a pawn shop guitar and an old hymnal and they haven’t left his side since. He’s black coffee honest from the history in his voice to the heart on his sleeve and his music reflects that. Artists like Van Morrison, Ryan Adams and Ray Lamontagne resonate in his soul and have uniquely shaped the sound and story that is Casey Hurt.
Christie Lenée

Sarah’s songs break the barriers of being genre-specific, and one can hear elements of pop, rock, folk, and even some country in her tunes. She notes influences as diverse as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Sara Bareilles in her music.

Americana/Folk/Country
decker.
decker. is a tight unit of melody, atmosphere and space; not merely the brainchild of songwriter Brandon Decker. Their new release, Slider, marks a newer, more complex sound for the band – think Beck’s Sea Change meets The White Stripes meets Arcade Fire. Decker crafts songs which find profundity in their naked sincerity. Not quite rock, not quite folk, the acoustic-based psychedelic Americana balladry draws upon a variety of influences; from Leonard Cohen to Tom Waits, from Cat Power to PJ Harvey. Yet in the end, his music is unique and uniquely him, and that is the offering. As the media has said of decker.: “The lasting impression of this CD is some of the most soul-baring songwriting you will ever hear.”

What began as a dream between two friends, Howard Salmon and Deborah Martin-Lemmon, who had many opportunities to sing together over the years, became a reality. They used to joke with each other, saying, “We gotta make a country album one of these days!” That day is now and they fulfilled that dream.
